Japan Liaison Office (JLO)

JLO was established by Qatargas in Nagoya in August 1996 in order to coordinate and liaise with the Japanese buyers on all business, operational and technical matters related to the implementation of the Sales & Purchase Agreement (SPA).

JLO provides our Japanese buyers and ship owners with a single window for communications with Qatargas on any subject related to Qatargas’ business in Japan and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved.

In addition to supporting business commitments under long term SPA, JLO acts as as a liaison with buyers for spot deliveries through short term SPAs or Master Agreements with Japanese buyers.

Beijing Representative Office

Following the signing of Sales and Purchase Agreements with Chinese buyers and the first delivery of LNG to China in October 2009, Qatargas opened its Beijing Representative Office in November 2009 in order to facilitate better coordination with theChinese buyers.

Qatargas currently has executed long-term commitments to supply five million tonnes of LNG to the People's Republic of China.
