Qatargas celebrates Qatar National Day

Qatargas Operating Company Limited (Qatargas) celebrated Qatar National Day with employees at multiple locations throughout Qatar, and at the Company's liaison offices in South Korea, Japan, Thailand and China. In support of Qatar National Day (QND, a giant glass wrap was mounted on the Qatargas' headquarters building in Doha.​

The glass sticker features an image of His Highness the Emir of Qatar, the QND emblem and one of the most prominent architectural monuments in Doha – the arches of Interchange 5/6. The iconic arches symbolise the country's resilience and ability to overcome challenges. Inscribed with the National Day slogan in Arabic, the sticker also includes a quotation from the country's founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani.

Qatargas liaison offices around the world celebrated Qatar National Day with ceremonies, held in cooperation with embassies of the State of Qatar in the respective countries, and media advertisements wishing the government and people of Qatar continued peace and prosperity.

A unique global energy operator in terms of size, service and reliability, Qatargas operates 14 LNG trains with a production capacity of 77 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), two helium plants that make Qatar the world's largest exporter of helium and the second largest producer, two of the world's largest condensate refineries, and the world's largest chartered fleet of LNG vessels. Qatargas is currently executing the North Field Expansion (NFE) project on behalf of Qatar Petroleum that will take the State of Qatar's current LNG production capacity to 110 Mtpa by 2024.
