For an unprecedented fourth consecutive year, Qatargas' Shipping Department has been awarded the Sword of Honour and the Globe of Honour from the internationally acclaimed British Safety Council. Representing a world-class commitment to safety management and environmental management standards respectively, the prestigious accolades were accepted by Khalid Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Qatargas Chief Executive Officer at a ceremony held recently in London, the United Kingdom.

Khalid Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Qatargas Chief Executive Officer, said: “Qatargas is very proud to receive the Sword of Honour and the Globe of Honour awards for the fourth consecutive year. These prestigious awards are testament to the world-class standards we maintain at Qatargas, and most importantly, they recognise our commitment to operating safely, efficiently and reliably. On behalf of Qatargas, I would like to acknowledge the British Safety Council for promoting excellence in workplace health, safety and environmental management, and for bestowing this honour on Qatargas."

Qatargas was one of only 11 organisations worldwide which won the 'double', both the Sword of Honour and Globe of Honour.​
